About Rolex
Rolex is a Swiss watch manufacturer, and was established in London in 1905 by its founder Hans Wilsdorf as a watch specialist trading company. One morning in 1908, he had an idea for the brand name "Rolex," which later became the name Rolex. Later, in 1910, Rolex watches became the first wristwatches to receive an official chronometer certificate from the Swiss Chronometer Rate Authorization Bureau, establishing their reliability. In the 1920s, they obtained a patent for the "Oyster Case," a specification that represents Rolex and is still used today. In the 1930s, they released the "Prince" and "Bubble Back," which are popular in the antique watch market. In 1945, they announced the "Datejust" mechanism at a party commemorating the 40th anniversary of Rolex's founding. They named the automatic winding mechanism, which instantly changes the date around midnight, the "Perpetual Mechanism," and it is also famous as the origin of the modern automatic winding mechanism. After that, Rolex released a series of flagship models, including the Explorer, GMT Master, Submariner, Milgauss, and Daytona.
Popular Rolex Models
Rolex has produced a variety of models over the last 100 years, among which the sports models are models that have a design that strongly reflects a sporty taste and a luxurious atmosphere in a wide variety of expressions.
The Submariner was the world's first diver's watch, born in 1953. It established its basic design as a diver's watch, and over the years it has grown into a model that is synonymous with diver's watches. It is also characterized by its wide variety of variations in the coloring of the dial, bezel, and the characters on the dial. In addition, there are many extremely rare models among Rolexes compared to other sports models, so many people collect them.
The GMT Master, featuring a two-tone bezel, was released in 1955 and was designed to display the time in two different time zones at the same time. It was originally a pilot watch developed as a navigation system for pilots flying around the world, and was also adopted as the official watch of Pan American World Airways, America's most famous airline at the time. In 1982, the GMT Master II, equipped with a new movement and improved usability, appeared as the successor to the original model, and its robustness, functional beauty, and instantly recognizable fashionable design have captivated many global travelers.
The Yachtmaster, which represents the world of the sea, was born from inspiration in the rich heritage of Rolex's special bond with the sailing world since the 1950s. Although it is less waterproof than a diver's watch, the Yachtmaster, which combines luxury and functional beauty, is a luxurious watch that can be used as a marine watch on a yacht or beach.
The Cosmograph Daytona is the most well-known Rolex top model, designed in 1963 to meet the needs of professional race car drivers. It is a very popular model that has always been ranked among the top sellers since its release. It has a close relationship with the world of motor racing, where drivers can measure the elapsed time and read their average speed on the trademark tachymeter bezel. Equipped with the caliber 4130 released in 2000, it has established an overwhelming position in sports chronographs from its birth to the present. Another feature is the uniqueness of the dial. Another attraction is the release of challenging and diverse models such as minerals such as sodalite and meteorite and eye-catching leopard patterns.
How to tell the difference between real and fake
First of all, there is an absolute difference between "whether it is made by a first-class craftsman or a second-class craftsman". If it is made by a first-class craftsman, it is made with great attention to detail, such as the feel, as well as the appearance and function. On the other hand, fakes, so-called "copies", are made by second-class craftsmen and have a stale finish. Luxury watches are valuable because they are made by first-class craftsmen. Genuine watches have delicacy and quality that cannot be expressed in mass production, such as the smoothness of the engraving and the way the luminous paint is applied. However, this is very difficult to tell from the amateur's point of view, and they are made very skillfully.
For this reason, Rolex has implemented several mechanisms to help distinguish between real and fake watches. To tell the difference, if the model is from after 2000, there is a roulette engraving on the inside side of the case and a watermark in the crown mark at 6 o'clock. This is so faint that it can only be seen by looking closely at it from the side with a magnifying glass. Another distinguishing feature of a genuine Rolex is that the serial number of the Rolex watch is engraved in the watermark. It is important to choose a shop you can trust when making a purchase.
RolexCustomer reviews
I think I'll wear this watch a lot because the dial isn't too flashy and it goes well with everyday clothes.
Also, since the bezel is round and ceramic, you can use it without worrying too much about scratches.
Next time if we need to make any adjustments, it will be easier if I take my wife with me to the store.
When I'm looking for a watch, I always check out your website first.
I had an Omega, but this is superior in accuracy, construction, and everything else.
I never get bored of looking at Rolex watches.
I quickly get bored of watches from other companies.
What a strange watch Rolex is!
We are also very grateful for the store's quick release, given that ROLEX stock is limited worldwide.
