The company offers traditional watches whose design roots lie in "Rome," a place that is different from the history of the Swiss watch industry, and its name is widely known not only in Italy but around the world.

The spelling of Bvlgari is "BVLGARI", which uses the Old Latin of the ancient Roman Empire. The use of Old Latin shows how proud Bvlgari is to be based in Rome.
The history of Bvlgari began in 1884 when Greek silversmith Sotirios Bulgari opened a jewelry shop in Rome, Italy.

Since then, the designs and jewelry that combined Greek and Roman culture have been highly praised for their unique style. Later, in the 1960s, Bvlgari solidified its position as a leading jeweler by releasing the "Motene" series, which combined ancient Greek and Roman coins with jewelry.
Having established itself as a jeweller, Bvlgari entered the watch industry in 1975 when it gifted the prototype of the "Bvlgari Bvlgari" watch to one of Brandt's most valued customers. The "Bvlgari Bvlgari", released two years later in 1977, became a huge hit and Bvlgari's name recognition increased significantly.

In the 1980s, they established "Bvlgari Time" in Switzerland, and now they have established a full-fledged luxury watch brand division and even manufacture their own movements. Thus, Bvlgari has become a long-established, prestigious jeweler and watch maison that continues to be loved by celebrities around the world, and has now established itself as a top-class brand that has established a special position among high-end brands.
