Explorer luxury watches

In 1953, explorers Sir Edmund Hillary and Tenzing Norgay became the first people to successfully reach the summit of Mount Everest. The Explorer was released to commemorate this achievement. The Explorer I still retains its consistent identity, featuring only hour, minute, and second hands, and its simple, uncluttered design is one of the reasons for its longevity. In 1971, the Explorer II was released as a model for cave explorers. It featured a 24-hour hand to distinguish between day and night, even in the dark of caves. In 1978, Italian mountaineer Reinhold Messner wore the Explorer II during his first ascent of Mount Everest without oxygen, demonstrating its capabilities even in extreme environments.
