Description of Rolex Sea-Dweller 126600
The Sea-Dweller was born in 1967. Fifty years later, the Sea-Dweller "126600" was unveiled at Baselworld 2017.
Compared to the older Sea-Dweller 4000 "116600," the case diameter has been increased from 40mm to 43mm, and it features a Cyclops lens, a first for the Sea-Dweller.
The "SEA-DWELLER" lettering on the dial is colored red, creating a design reminiscent of the original Sea-Dweller, affectionately known as the "Red Sea-Dweller."
The movement features the in-house developed and manufactured "Caliber 3235," which boasts an impressive 14 patents. This new generation movement incorporates Rolex's technological prowess, including the Chronergy escapement, which enhances the performance of conventional escapements for high efficiency, and the use of nickel-phosphorus alloy in the anchor and escape wheel, making it less susceptible to magnetic field interference.
The case side at the 9 o'clock position features the Sea-Dweller's signature helium escape valve, making it an attractive model that boasts not only a stylish design but also high performance as a diver's watch.
