Milgauss luxury watches

Rolex Milgauss

In 1956, the Milgauss, a magnetically resistant watch, was released for scientists and engineers constantly exposed to strong magnetic fields. Its name is a combination of the French word mille, meaning 1000, and gauss, a unit of magnetic flux density. While the accuracy of typical mechanical watches is affected by magnetic fields of 50 to 100 gauss, the Milgauss, as its name suggests, is resistant to 1000 gauss. Although once discontinued, it was revived in 2007 with its striking lightning bolt hands. To commemorate the 50th anniversary of the Milgauss, a new anniversary model with a green sapphire crystal crystal was released, which has garnered great acclaim. The balance spring, which determines the watch's accuracy, is made of Parachrom, an alloy with excellent magnetic and shock resistance. The Oyster case is equipped with a magnetic shield made of a ferromagnetic alloy, providing robust magnetic resistance.
