Millenary Trivia

Hidden gem collection

Audemars Piguet is one of the world's three major brands. When you hear the name, the first thing that comes to mind is probably the Royal Oak. However, Audemars Piguet also has a collection of hidden masterpieces: the Millenary. The Millenary was released as a commemorative model to celebrate the year 2000. Its design, inspired by the Colosseum in Rome, Italy, was said to have been designed and produced by Audemars Piguet designer Ottavio Garcia. Its most distinctive feature is its horizontally oval case, with the balance wheel and dial beautifully and perfectly balanced. This beautiful dial allows you to check the watch while looking at it, making it a collection that is like a work of art and has become very popular.

Cal.4101

Released in 2011, there is a model that instantly became the face of the Millenary. That model is the Millenary 4101. Equipped with a movement exclusive to the Millenary, this new model has a unique feature not found in other models: the movement's movement can be seen from the dial. Not many watches allow you to see the movement from the dial, let alone from the back. The newly developed movement, Cal. 4101, was created by Naohiro Hamaguchi, who was the head of the movement design department at the time. It features an asymmetrical design with the escapement at the 9 o'clock position, which is the opposite of the usual position, and the dial at the 3 o'clock position.
