SANTOS luxury watches

The Santos is Cartier's most historic watch. At the time, the only portable timepieces were pocket watches. Louis Cartier's friend, aviator Alberto Santos-Dumont, requested a watch that would allow him to check the time without taking his hand off the wrist while flying, and in 1904, the world's first wristwatch, the Santos, was born. Inspired by airplanes, the watch's bezel is based on the screws that connect aircraft parts, resulting in a durable and portable design that remains a beloved watch to this day. Over 100 years have passed since its release, and numerous models have been released, making it popular with people of all ages and genders.
