Day-date luxury watches

Rolex ROLEX Day-Date DAYDATE

The Day-Date, first released in 1956, has established itself as a luxury watch, remaining true to its stance of offering only 18K gold or platinum case materials. Its ice blue dial, available only on platinum models, is also well-known. Many models feature diamonds or precious stones set in the bezel and indices. It was also the world's first wristwatch to display the day of the week spelled out in full, ensuring excellent legibility. The bracelet features both the Day-Date and the President bracelet, which is only available on a select few models, further enhancing its beauty and elegance. In 2008, the Day-Date II was released with a 41mm case size, and in 2015, it evolved into the 40mm Day-Date 40, with further developments expected in the future.

Day-Date FAQ

How do I set the day of the week?

There are differences between the old and new models, but the new Day-Date allows you to adjust the date and day of the week by turning the crown. Turn the crown to unlock it and pull it out two notches. First, set the watch hands to the desired time. Then, push the crown back in to pull it out one notch. In this state, turn the crown toward 12 o'clock to change the date, or toward 6 o'clock to change the day of the week.

What size and color is most popular?

The current Day-Date comes in two sizes: 36mm and 40mm. While 41mm is popular worldwide, 36mm is the size that suits the Japanese figure. The 36mm size creates a subtle sense of luxury and elegance without being too assertive when viewed as an overall look. All colors are popular, but for example, yellow gold exudes the air of a watch for successful people, while platinum or white gold offer the ultimate in sophistication. Choose the one that suits you best from the wide variety of options.
