Ingenieur (IWC) luxury watches

IWC INGENIEUR

Following the development of electronic and mechanical engineering in the 1950s, the Ingenieur, a highly antimagnetic watch, was released in 1955. The model name is derived from the German word for engineer. Initially, the design was simple and round, but in 1976, the design underwent a complete transformation. The Ingenieur SL, created by the most renowned watch designer, Gérald Genta, remains the design concept for the Ingenieur series to this day. Previous models boasted magnetic resistance of 500,000 A/m (6,250 gauss), leaving no room for doubt about their performance. The Ingenieur, which was once discontinued, was revived in 2005. Not only was it resized to fit modern needs, but a non-antimagnetic model was also introduced in 2007. This is a model that will be closely watched for future developments.
