| 1880 | His son, Charles-Émile Hermès, took over the business and moved the workshop to 24 Faubourg Saint-Honoré in Paris, where the company's flagship store is currently located. |
| 1837 | The Hermes brand was born when Thierry Hermes founded a luxury saddlery workshop in Paris, producing saddlery for the upper class. |
