Hublot is a relatively young brand in the Swiss watch industry, founded in 1980 by Carlo Crocco, a member of the founding family of the Italian watch and jewelry group Binda.
The "Classic" collection, which was first unveiled at Baselworld, is the origin of Hublot, and was an unusual quartz watch with a gold case and rubber strap. While initially criticized by the conservative Swiss watch industry, the collection's combination of traditional Swiss watchmaking techniques and innovative Italian design was well received by the European fashion industry, and Hublot gradually became famous around the world.
Jean-Claude Biver, a renowned watchmaker, was appointed CEO in 2004, and the Big Bang was born under the brand concept of "art of fusion" (the fusion of different materials and ideas). The unique design, featuring a ceramic bezel and steel lugs and case sides, was well-received by athletes and musicians alike.
Hublot's popular models
When you think of Hublot, you think of the Big Bang, and it has captivated a wide range of fans, not just watch enthusiasts. With its traditional Hublot features of a screwed bezel, protrusions on both sides, and a large, eye-catching size, it's instantly recognizable as a Hublot watch. It gained popularity among young people, and won the Best Design of the Year award at the Geneva Watch Grand Prix that year.
Because it is loved by many celebrities, it is often referred to as the ``watch of successful people,'' and later, the ``King Power'' and ``Aerobang'' versions also became popular, solidifying its position as a luxury watch brand.
