[Trivia] Trivia about Vacheron Constantin products

Cabinotier

Vacheron Constantin is sometimes said to be descended from the Cabinotiers, but why is that? Cabinotiers are artisans who produced watches in attics (cabinets) as workshops. In the 18th century, high-ranking European officials commissioned Cabinotiers to produce timepieces incorporating complex mechanisms and luxurious decorations that required advanced skills, essentially as custom-made watches. Today, this tradition continues as the "Les Cabinotiers" division, which releases a collection each year related to a theme that is important to the brand.

Geneva Seal

While the iconic cross is well-known, the Geneva Seal is also a traditional symbol of Vacheron Constantin. The Geneva Seal certification, which has been in place since 1901, is a prestigious title given only to a very select few brands that are manufactured in Geneva, Switzerland, and which certifies that the brand maintains its craftsmanship and traditions.
