Chopard Timeline

2024	The LUC Qualité Fleurier is released, a model with a case made of Lucent Steel™, which is made from over 80% recycled materials.
2022	"LUC XPS 1860 Officer" Imperiale Flying Tourbillon is announced, limited to eight pieces.
2020	"Mille Miglia 2020 Race Edition" announced.
2018	The Alpine Eagle collection is launched, embodying a sustainable spirit and sporty elegance.
2017	The fully in-house tourbillon model "LUC Full Strike" won the highest award at the Geneva Watch Grand Prix (GPHG).
2013	The company launches its sustainable luxury initiative, introducing Fairmined Gold, which uses ethically sourced gold.
2006	"LUC Chrono One" has been added to the LUC collection.
1997	The company launches its first fully in-house manufactured movement, the LUC 1860. It is Geneva Seal and COSC certified, and combines precision with beauty.
1996	The company established its own manufacturing workshop in Geneva and began producing high-end mechanical watches equipped with Chopard Lucent calibers.
1988	It became the official timekeeper of the classic car race "Mille Miglia" and launched a sports watch collection of the same name.
1980	Launch of the luxury sports watch St. Moritz: Chopard's first stainless steel sports watch.
1976	The "Happy Diamonds" collection is launched, featuring diamonds that float freely across the dial and which becomes the brand's signature design.
1963	German jewellery and watch manufacturer Karl Scheufele acquires Chopard and relaunches the brand as a fusion of jewellery and watchmaking.
1937	In response to the increasing demand for high-quality watches, the workshop is relocated to Geneva.
1921	His son, Paul-Louis Chopard, takes over the business and moves the workshops to La Chaux-de-Fonds in Switzerland.
1860	Louis-Ulysse Chopard establishes his workshop in Sonvilier, Switzerland, producing precision pocket watches and chronometers that are renowned for their reliability.
